1,2,3, Whiteout: The End of the Light Age
A sound and image tone poem directed by James June Schneider
Film presentation by James June Schneider and sound artist Elmapi (2007, 16mm, French and English, 72 minutes)
In a blindingly bright future a woman named Veronique and an inventor (art house legend Lou Castel) join forces to struggle against the reign of man-made light and the world it represents.

"This 'experimental tone poem for darkness' mixes amazing original vignettes with diverse archive found footage, an exceptional sci-fi sensibility and incredible soundscapes to form a blissfully imaginative and retro-futuristic creation. Set in 'an old-fashioned kind of future'... As much about sound as about darkness, it asks: Can we shine when we are faced with blinding light?" -Leeds International Film Festival

Soundtrack includes work by:
Alexei Borisov (Notchnoi Prospect)
Michael J. Schumacher
Andrew Sharpley (Stock, Hausen, and Walkman, also as actor in the film)
Elmapi (Video Love, also as actor in the film)
Richard Harrison (Spaceheads, Toolshed)
