Music for Double Bass and Electronics

Bryan Eubanks & Andrew Lafkas

$ 7 suggested donation

NOTES:

During the several years that Eubanks and Lafkas have been working collaboratively, the issue of time in extended duration has become an increasingly important consideration. In combining real-time performance and evening-long installation, Eubanks and Lafkas took the following simple truths into account in preparation for their show at Diapason:

"We knew we would have 6 hours to work with.
We knew we would have 2 rooms to work with.
We knew we would have about 10 speakers to work with.
We knew we would be able to use pre-recorded material.
We knew we would be able to use material developed in real-time."

BIOS:

Bryan Eubanks works with the soprano saxophone and electronics in collaborations, installations, and solo practice. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, he currently lives and works in New York City, and operates a small label, Rasbliutto Recordings.

Andew Lafkas "I live and work in Queens. Recently, I have been writing pieces for strings, also, last year I completed a piece for one hundred 60-minute cassettes."
